Offices to Close on Columbus Day 2023

1. The Marshall County Board of Public Utilities at 624 West Commerce Street, Lewisburg will be closed Monday, October 9, 2023, in observance of Columbus Day. The office will reopen Tuesday, October 10th at 8 am.

2. The Courthouse, Courthouse Annex, and Hardison Annex will be closed on Monday, October 9th in observance of Columbus Day.

3. The Marshall County Probation Office will be closed on Monday, October 9th in observance of Columbus Day.

"In 2013, the Lewisburg Animal Shelter Volunteers began a twice-weekly program on WJJM called “Marshall County Pet Patrol”. The purpose was two-fold, first to talk about new intakes with the hope of finding their rightful owners and second, to help find adopters by describing all of our current residents in detail. The results have far exceeded our expectations, and thanks in a big way to our radio exposure our adoption rates have increased significantly. Thank you to the entire staff at WJJM, and our sponsor, Veterinary Services of Chapel Hill…together we are saving the lives of precious fur babies."
