Lewisburg, TN- The Marshall County Health Department is recognizing No Vape November to raise awareness about Tennessee’s youth vaping epidemic and to promote the resources available to prevent and stop vaping.
The U.S. Surgeon General recently declared the use of electronic cigarettes among youth an epidemic. A 2022 study from the FDA and CDC estimated more than 2.5 million U.S. middle and high school students reported currently using electronic cigarettes.
In Tennessee, nearly 1 in 5 high school students reported using electronic cigarettes in the 2021 Tennessee Youth Risk Behavior Survey.
The Tennessee Department of Health, through the TNSTRONG program, has distributed No Vape November toolkits to the State’s local health departments.
