The Lewisburg Police Department is currently investigating several thefts of lawn equipment, tools, and outdoor furniture that have occurred over the past month. Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in solving these crimes. Some of the thefts currently being investigated are:
*4-1-14-three window AC Units, an extension ladder, and a Black and Decker Skill Saw were taken from 576 Franklin Ave.
*4-10-14-a green push mower was reported stolen from a residence on Saint Ann Street.
*4-12-14-a Pro-Green 500 Generator was stolen from a carport on 424 Cathey Street.
*Sometime between April 21st and April 22nd 2014 someone broke into a storage shed at 781 Yell Road. No items were reported missing.
*Sometime between April 22nd and 23rd a red lawnmower trailer carrying a 60″ TORO Zero Turn 2000 Series lawnmower was stolen from 432 Holly Grove Road.
*4-25-14-two lawn chairs with “Alabama” on one side and “Roll Tide” on the other were taken from 213 6th Ave South.
Police would like to remind the public that thefts of outdoor equipment and lawn furniture increase in warmer weather and it is always advisable to secure these items when not in use.
