Bernie Milton Jett, age 52 of Lynnville was arrested on Thursday, February 29th because of a lengthy investigation by the Giles County Sheriff’s Department’s Criminal Investigators.
Jett is charged with multiple counts of Statutory Rape by an Authority Figure. Incest with a Minor, and Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. This is an ongoing investigation and more charges are expected, including the possibility of additional arrests.
Sheriff Joseph Purvis stated he is very proud of the hard work the Giles County Sheriff’s investigators are doing. They are fully committed to aggressively pursuing child predators and bringing them to justice.
