NASHVILLE- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s case against the former Fire Chief of the Chapel Hill Fire Department has resulted in an indictment and subsequent arrest this week.
Kenneth Runk, 36, of Chapel Hill, Tenn. was indicted and arrested Wednesday on one count of theft, one count of attempted theft and one count of official misconduct. In July, the District Attorney General requested TBI investigation allegations of theft from Chapel Hill city officials. Between November 2012 and March 2013, Runk took approximately $3,100. He was fired from his position after he admitted to stealing fuel and forging fake invoices for his personal gain.
Runk was booked into the Marshall County Jail on $15,000 bond.
